The Columbus Free Clinic depends entirely on the service and creativity of student and professional volunteers. Please review the information below to learn more about how to volunteer with us!
We are still fairly limited in terms of volunteer capacity due to the pandemic. While we have a need for providers, there is a very limited need as of now for PCAs, MAs, etc. If you are a medical professional (resident physician, attending physician, nurse practitioner, physician's assistant, pharmacist, pharmacy technician, social worker) please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Divya Shankar, at firstname.lastname@example.org or email us at email@example.com.
---Applications have closed for 2022---
If you are an undergraduate student and would like to volunteer with the Columbus Free Clinic, there are multiple options for you! We accept clinic and specialty volunteers every February. Clinic volunteers gain hands on experience working with patients and coordinating the weekly clinic flow, while specialty volunteers work with the medical student Steering Committee Coordinators on tasks such as referrals, specialty clinics, operations, lab, and data analytics. Undergraduates with questions regarding volunteering should contact our Undergraduate Volunteer and Patient Satisfaction Coordinator, Chelsea Bray, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Medical and Nurse Practitioner Students
OSU Medical, OSU NP, and ODU PA student volunteers interview, examine, and diagnose patients in an interdisciplinary setting. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Divya Shankar, at email@example.com or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Social Work Students
Graduate and undergraduate social work volunteers work with clients to assess and address basic needs. Please contact our social work team at email@example.com.
